Enjoyed all their food Service- 5 stars Our server, Rachel was fantastic. Very attentive and friendly Bottom Line Fantastic dinner spot at the heart of downtown Asheville.

Will be coming back! Collaborate with friends in real time Plan along with your friends with live syncing and collaborative editing. There are lots of wood-fired ovens grilling pizzas in Asheville, but All Souls Pizza hovers at the top of the list for its commitment to locally sourced ingredients, even in the dough.

Using fresh-milled flour made from regionally grown grains, the uniquely flavored and textured dough is naturally fermented with native yeast.

Featuring country ham from Goodnight Brothers and fresh local pullet eggs from Dry Ridge Farm, their flavorful Country Ham and Egg Pizza is a fan favorite, though it’s hard to lose with any seasonal pie.

So it is with some authority that I can say that All Souls boasts the best pizza in Asheville. Locally focused, the menu of gourmet pizza highlights Asheville growers and makers. But the vibe at All Souls is very chill. So so “souls” good!!! Fresh sliced garlic, over-easy eggs, country bacon and mozzarella!!!! White bean soup!!!! Not salty and tasted so fresh!!

A farm to table feel and taste Was looking for fine pizza but this was a flop The atmosphere was ok but the lighting was very dim. Neither of us were satisfied and left feeling like we should have just eaten elsewhere and still hungry. First off, the staff deserve nine stars out of five; helpful, friendly but not gratingly so. The food is tasty and good quality for a reasonable price. Lunch in Asheville like a Vanderbilt!. We are Biltmore annual passholders — mostly for the trails, restaurants, and winery.

Every single picture I have in the Stable Cafe has terrible lighting. However, the food is delicious in this fun Biltmore restaurant. The Stable Cafe is known for its striking dining room and architecture, known for its upper-level a-frame roof.

What was once a stable, is now the spot to enjoy some of the best lu Opens at and serves until The waiter was delightful and when I exclaimed how savory the coleslaw was, he brought me a second serving!

The BBQ sandwich was good, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The classic burger was cooked to a juicy medium, nestled between two toasted buns. Every bite seemed better than the last, making me forget that I don’t in fact have to finish my plate. Needless to say, I found myself in the clean plate club! Excellent experience. Pleasant staff, child friendly. My daughter accompanied my husband and I to the restaurant. They provided water with a lid, extra straws without thinking we were weird, an extra roll for her, and a chocolate chip cookie to go despite her just eating off of our plates.

Unique eating atmosphere with the horse stalls, only the booths had cushions. Would very much recommend. This place never disappoints! Location is the coolest, eating in what used to be horse stables is the neatest!

White chicken chili and chicken salad croissant was fresh and tasty! Chocolate creme brulee was outstanding! Terri, our waitress was beyond great! Asian fusion restaurant. Asian flavors meet Appalachian ingredients at this relaxed haunt with outdoor seating. For a true Asian flavor explosion, check out the Mapo Doufu, a traditional Szechuan dish that is characteristically salty, spicy and richly-flavored, with braised tofu, ground pork, broad bean paste, garlic, ginger, tree ear mushrooms, Szechuan peppercorn, chile and loads of scallions.

Loved that they delivered to Archetype Brewing around the corner. The flavors were really really delicious. My favorite was the brisket steam buns, but it was so so good! Gan Shan West was everything I’d hoped it would be. I was beyond thrilled to see they had a beef brisket ramen.

It was perfectly spicy and flavorful. We are regulars here. Really good food and super convenient to have it dropped off at archetype brewing. Super easy and tasty. True to that romantic aesthetic, Sovereign Remedies serves some of the best cocktails in Asheville, which is what people know them for. Located downtown Asheville N Market St. Lots of great options of the list and plenty of tasty recommendations from the staff. Worth a stop if you want something worth having.

This was a nice, eclectic spot, with a dark ambience. We ordered the corn bread, brussel sprouts my fave , beef carpaccio least favorite , potatoes, trout, shrimp, and beef shoulder. Drinks were great, I recommend the No Sleep till Brooklyn, and service was on point. Dessert was underwhelming, I recommend you skip it. Chopped Cut for the Moment main course. Service was good. The frites were a standout and rest of what we ate was adequate. We had a cute table that overlooked the first floor.

Hamburger restaurant. Though that influential eatery shut its doors for good in , its legacy lives on in sister restaurant Farm Burger. Farm Burger has delicious burgers with vegan, veggie, and gluten-free options. Farm Burger has vegan, veggie, and gluten-free options, including GF fries some locations and gluten-free buns. Awesome service. Real easy to walk in and order food. If your looking for a good lunch spot when going through Asheville definitely stop and here.

Also if you want to get a good deal definitely get the lunch combo or if you want there daily special burger, get the daily special. I built my own, made it similar to the Chicken burger with a onion ring on it and then got fries with Pimento Cheese. The food is amazing has a really good taste. So if your someone looking for a good sear definitely a place to go to get burgers. Also the Pimento Cheese fries were really good.

Amazing food. Delicious burgers and fresh french fries. Glad we made the choice of eating here while in town for vacation. Lots of options on the menu with kids menu for the little ones. Nice chill atmosphere. Will go back when we visit again.

Highly recommend. Be prepared for a fast moving line. Definitely eat here if you like good burgers. Good gluten free options and vegan options. They use beyond beef for vegans I’m a carnivore and got the double bacon cheeseburger with a side of kale slaw. The fryer is cross contaminated so avoid fries.

Both burgers were juicy and flavorful. The bun was gluten free and okay. The slaw was surprisingly good. Just the right amount of flavoring. No mayonnaise soaked cabbage here The wife had the farm salad with bacon, regular size. Plenty of food. Lots of really good bacon Like this review if you found it helpful. One of the new downtown Asheville restaurants that opened in , Asheville Proper is your proper steakhouse.

Located in the historic Grove Arcade, they invited us out for a pre-opening dinner. Um, speakeasy cocktails and delicious steaks with fresh sides?!

What a cool menu and unique experience. We got the steak tar tar and it was amazing. There was a smoked aioli sauce on the side that was delicious. The steaks were good and service was very nice. Lots of parking in the area to walk to this spot and cool indoor fire eating experience. Really cool comfy spot to check out. Everything was really clean and everyone was really nice. ALL the sides were so good. The steak was great, so were the ribs, the duck had a great flavor but wasn’t as tender as I was hoping.

The only thing that irked me was that my server kept forgetting to get me water. Hands down best meal and dining experience I’ve ever had. Every single thing we ate was impeccable and the service was perfect. There was even a guy playing music on the corner that added to our experience. We had the charcuterie platter as well as the cheese plate.

I discovered that I’ve missed out on pate my whole life among other things I would have never tried. We decided to get lots of small plates to try, grilled octopus was amazing. The buttermilk fried oysters were divine. Steak tartar was also excellent. We also had bone marrow, which was a first for my 75 year old father, who loved it. We couldn’t resist trying dessert even though we were stuffed since everything else had been so delicious and weren’t disappointed with deconstructed smores and a flan dish.

After dinner they invited us up to see the live fire kitchen where everything is cooked to perfection on wood fire. If you are traveling, save this place for your last meal, it was so great that it ruined all other places we went because we were comparing them to this very high bar.

Mediterranean restaurant. We happened upon Jerusalem Garden Cafe when searching for a place to eat Downtown and came away thankful for the discovery.

Find authentic Meditteranean and Middle Eastern cuisine in a gorgeously colorful and intimate atmosphere. The atmosphere is colorful, serene, and delicious. Best food I’ve had visiting here so far. The lamb is awesome. I don’t normally care for lamb. Beautiful atmosphere and food. Jerusalem is a family owned and operated restaurant serving authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine.

We started with bacon wrapped dates. They were served with bacon, halloumi cheese stuffed in the dates and a pomegranate molasses drizzle. This was an amazing dish. The bacon was crispy and the dates were slightly sweet this combined with the salty cheese and sweet drizzle made for a delicious bite.

The lamb shanks were served with basmati saffron rice, roasted cauliflower and pita bread. They lamb was fork tender and falling off the bone. It was spiced and seasoned perfectly with a slight toasted cumin heat that just lingered on the back of your tongue. The rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly with a slightly sweet floral flavor.

The pita was fresh, and the cauliflower was charred and tasty. When mixing everything together and eating it on the pita it made for near heavenly bite. If you go to this restaurant, I highly recommend that you order the specials or just let the chef pick.

They also offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The servers are super nice, and they are very knowledgeable of the menu. They have several beers and wines for the Middle East as well. I have eaten at Jerusalem Garden Cafe for many years and have always been satisfied, but this last time was such a downer.

We went to eat there for dinner and the service was terrible, it seemed they had a new waiter, never seen him before and our usual excellent server was bussing tables. There was only one other occupied table, so not busy at all. When the gyros came, I had to take a double look.

My mom had ordered a falafel sandwich and one tiny falafel was hidden in her mountain of lettuce. The gyros looked much better at lunchtime!! When she looked for the falafel, it rolled out of her sandwich onto the floor, so she ate a lettuce sandwich. We could not ask the waiter why the sandwiches looked so meager, because he was nowhere to be found for 20 mins.

One of us finally had to hunt him down for more drinks. I think I will go there for lunch in the future and ask for the busboy to be our server. Chicken restaurant. Soul food restaurant. Counter-serve dishing up Tennessee-style hot chicken in cheerful surrounds with a covered patio. Nashville sure is getting confused a lot when it comes to Asheville!.

The Hot Chicken here is Legit! Skin is super crispy and flavorful. The sides were really good too. I recommend the fried pickle chips. The hot level of spice was just perfect super spicy but not so much you cant handle it.

Get a side of honey to dip you chicken in. We will for sure be going back. I definitely was not disappointed. The chicken was tender and very flavorful! I am a wimp when it comes to spicy foods so I went with the honey mild flavor and it was the perfect amount of heat. The sides were also tasty.

We will most be back for sure! Had a wonderful brunch here with friends today. Friendly staff, absolutely delicious food that will be sure to make me stop in to visit next time I’m in town. All in all an excellent experience.

Mentioned on 2 lists. Mela Indian Restaurant offers delicious North and South Indian dishes featuring a number of excellent vegan, vegetarian, seafood, and meat dishes that are as diverse and unique as the people and cultures of India.

We love the bindi okra , chole chickpeas , saag paneer, and chicken tikka at Mela— but the tandoor seafood dishes and copious list of specials are also excellent. One of our favorite Asheville Indian restaurants, Mela offers large portions of North and South Indian-inspired cuisine. You can find vegan and gluten-free options, too.

They boast of fresh and local ingredients, and their sauces are to die for. The vibe was awesome. The place was neat and respectful. The food were flavorful and authentic.

I highly recommend to try this place when you are in Asheville. They have drinks on site too. The menu is diverse and covers entree from all over India. Good lunch buffet but not many options.

Only one curry out but the tandoori chicken was excellent. The naan are also quite nice so make sure you get them while they are there. Possibly the best Indian buffet we have ever experienced. The food was so fresh and the spices on point, plenty of room between tables high ceilings beautifully decorated restaurant, and very nice wait staff willing to serve.

The courteous staff will help you navigate the pastry-laden menu. We were amazed at the Mountain Eclair and just had to try it. My husband and I each ate a half and it was the best eclair I’ve ever had! Also bought a slice of the Chocolate Buttermilk cake for our dessert that night.

It was a slice of chocolate heaven! I love their chocolate cake! Breakfast sandwich was ok. Cute bakery in Asheville, NC. Fairly busy on a Sunday, decent assortment of yummies, and customer service was good. The cookie didn’t have much flavor, very basic. Track your travel spending and split costs with friends Plan your trip. Keep your budget organized. Split the cost between tripmates. Wanderlog does it all.

Named after an Indonesian legend extolling the seeds of a plant that supposedly promotes divine conversation and physical satiation, this cafe has been a city mainstay for decades.

Dedicated to local, organic ingredients and a global food sensibility, it puts folks at ease as it caters to their myriad tastes. As such, it presents salads, sandwiches, roll-ups, empanadas, pastas, and dishes like pad Thai and a rosemary cider-braised seitan steak.

One of the first Asheville restaurants that we ever ate at before moving here, Laughing Seed Cafe is a delicious vegan and vegetarian downtown Asheville restaurant. They also have fantastic gluten-free options. The food is delicious! The place is clean, good vibes, attentive service. Vegan food packed full of veggies — none of that fast food vegan stuff here! I had the crispy brussel sprouts, harmony bowl, and I love you honey bear to drink.

All of it was on point! What a great place to go if you want to eat vegetarian or vegan, gluten-free or dairy free without feeling like you have to alter every item on the menu. Food is varied, tasty, and abundant.

Atmosphere is great. We sat outside, which was fun. Tried a mocktail and it hit the spot. You may have to wait a bit for a table, but it is worth it. Head to Biltmore winery or wine bar afterward and hit up a walking trail. Because Biltmore tends to get busy, we suggest making advanced dining reservations here. Welcome to Uncorked Asheville! We tend to order grape leaves and their tuna and Italian subs. We say that lovingly. One of our favorite local Asheville lunch restaurants, Taco Temple promises quick, simple, and delicious eats — in the coolest setting.

While Taco Temple also serves breakfast tacos and Mexican hot chocolate! With overflowing taco portions, we recommend starting with two tacos. Some tacos are much spicier than others. Order chips and guacamole or tater tots to pair with a drink — boozy or non-alcoholic. After ordering at the window, grab a seat inside — which resembles a small church — or stay outside on the patio. We just love the North AVL neighborhood , and for a budget and family-friendly lunch in Asheville, you cannot go wrong here.

Head here for lunch in Downtown Asheville in a gorgeous historic building. Plus, enjoy Highland Brewing beer. Each food stall cooks up something different: tacos, hot dogs, fried chicken sandwiches, and Thai treats. Another gluten-free friendly Asheville lunch spot, Early Girl Eatery has a large menu filled with burgers and sandwiches. Early Girl serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day, and they emphasize farm-to-table cuisine.

Laughing Seed Cafe is also close by, a top vegan and veggie choice that we love. West Haywood Rd. Suite A. One of the newer restaurants serving up the best lunch in Asheville, head to Thai Pearl.

They are one of our all-time favorite AVL Thai food restaurants. Located in West Asheville near Nine Mile and Jargon great dinner choices , you have to order the Thai onion rings to start. Then, choose from Thai salads, noodle and rice dishes, and delicious apps. Many of the sauces and noodles are gluten-free. Park in their lot in the back or along one of the residential side streets.

Another lesser-known and coveted local Asheville lunch restaurant, Wild Ginger is a must for pho and noodles. Located in an unassuming strip mall in South AVL, this Vietnamese restaurant features large portions, bubble tea with lactose-free options , and banh mi. Wild Ginger labels all of their dishes for gluten-free diners too. Choose from endless noodle, rice, meat, and fish dishes. This is a casual setting with a large but busy parking lot out front. Suite 12, Asheville NC Biltmore Ave.

Although located in the heart of the city, Manicomio Pizza feels more like a small hometown joint. UNC-Asheville students tend to flock here on breaks.

Order at the counter and grab pizza by the slice or select a full pie. Manicomio Pizza has gluten-free crust as well as a vegan pizza like the AsheVegan. Grab a seat inside or out on the patio.

Did we mention they dole out vegan desserts like a Dare cheesecake? Even better, when many lunch restaurants in Asheville are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, Manicomio stays open 7 days a week. Of course, you can grab delicious takeout too. Sit outside and people-watch while enjoying an elegant meal with a cocktail.

Inside, the sparse, gently used decor is a perfect backdrop for the restaurant’s extensive selection of locally crafted microbrews and its eclectic menu. Diners can choose from a variety of salads, quesadillas, sandwiches, pastas, and pizzas, each named after movie and television icons.

The local favorite is Popeye’s Spinach burger, a savory spinach patty with grilled onions, mushrooms, and cheese. There are also gourmet pizza selections as well as a create-your-own pizza option and a wide variety of crusts and sauces from which to choose. Two movies play nightly on the big screen, and selections change weekly. When there’s a line out the door, you know the place has got to be good. And such is the case here.

Crowds assemble each day to order soups, salads, and sandwiches that are uniformly fresh and tasty. Be prepared to take your lunch back to desk or the park , though — Loretta’s has very little room inside to sit.

When you’re in the mood for good, basic Mexican fare at reasonable prices, give El Chapala a try. It’s not a concept restaurant, but it turns out the satisfying dishes you’ve grown to love, and it does them well. The flavors are appealing, and whether you’re in the market for enchiladas, burritos, combo plates, or more, you’ll be pleased with the results. Expect to see groups of people sharing chips and salsa and indulging in large, frosty margaritas. If you’re looking for an impressive place to dine, the Grove Park Inn is one of the area’s finest establishments.

Sophisticated diners appreciate the elegant affair, which is set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A post shared by OWL Bakery oldworldlevain.
